Blockchain app: realisation and revolution
17 Oct 2019
Imagine a project where actions completed by individuals trigger a chain of events, with process rules agreed by suppliers, contractors, clients and owners alike. Now imagine a project where this chain of events actually controls the project’s process and lifecycle, from inception to completion, including tasks like raising inspection requests and safety reviews. Maybe contract rules will prompt purchase orders to be created and sent? Or suppliers become able to make applications for payment, simply because key milestones have been completed. All of this without the need for cumbersome rounds of validation, approval and report production. This is one example of how the implementation of blockchain technology is set to become one of the most innovative technologies to positively impact the way projects are managed and delivered. The technology is still in its infancy, but some software tools have started to adopt elements of these capabilities in working towards out-of-the-box functionality. The very latest Oracle Unifier cloud is one of those products. During our short presentation we will explain how tools like Unifier are making steps towards deployable blockchain contract management, improving productivity and collaboration between the many parties involved within a project and using technology to streamline project management.
