Cultural Impact of Implementing BIM in the UK Construction Industry (Panel)

We’re now 3 years on from the 2016 BIM Mandate, 8 years since the mandate was announced in 2011.  But, despite the success of the mandate, and the clear impact it has had on the way our sector thinks about data and digital technologies there are still as many proponents as detractors.  As many success stories as cautionary tales.  But why is that the case when at a base level BIM is just a process, a way of working and sharing information in a collaborative manner?

Our panel will explore the hidden challenges associated with adopting BIM and why it is more important to talk about collaboration, change management, and cultural impact than a piece of software.  We’ll also explore the real impact BIM can have on our sector if we embrace it’s principles of collaboration and sharing information.
