It's a Matter of Educating
16 Oct 2019
As a military engineer, civil engineer, lecturer and now advisor, I would like to share my story of how the Royal Engineers are adopting and implementing BIM. I will discuss the risks I faced collecting project data in Afghanistan and how I mitigated the risks using the technology available. I will also explain why you cannot always rely on technology, sometimes going back to basics is the best cause of action. Then I will discuss where the Royal Engineers are now on their journey, and how they are implementing the new skills to reap the benefits. You will not be disappointed and will take a lot away from my presentation.
