Learn how to leverage AI and the data you already have, to prevent the occurrence of errors in the construction process. According to GIRI, the total costs of error, in the construction industry, ranges between 10%-25% of project cost or between £10bn-£25bn per annum, across the sector. Management & Planning and Communication have been identified by GIRI, as the most frequent cause of error. In Autumn 2018, TR Control Solutions Ltd were successful, as the lead participant, with an Innovate UK bid for a 12-month feasibility study entitled: Adaptive learning for zero defects in buildings construction. This presentation with Q&As, will be delivered by John Taylor who will outline the background, the findings and the issues associated with this Innovate UK feasibility study and the initial development of a commercial product, known as BIMformedTM (as in, are you BIMformedTM?). John will be supported by David Milness, Digital Construction Manager at BAM Nuttall who have provided significant assistance with this Innovate UK project. Attendees at this session will learn about the use of AI and specifically Adaptive Learning and how it can be used to predict and prevent errors in construction and elsewhere.
