Putting BIM to work, maximising value some practical examples.

17 Oct 2019
BIM Village
BIM
Hinkley Point C is one of the most complicated and highly regulated projects in the world with seismically detailed reinforcement and traceability requirements for each of the 50 million reinforcing bars to be installed. All within the context of a politically sensitive backdrop and delivered by a culturally complicated joint venture. This session will explore the significant impact that BIM processes have had on the project and how they have been used to solve real world practical problems. It will explain how the extensive use of BIM processes have become a “normal” way of working across the spectrum of the organisations functions, including commercial, engineering, quality, HS&E and delivery teams on the ground. It will give practical examples of how and why model deployment and their data are being used and how with very little resourcing the impact of BIM can punch well above its weight.
