This session will focus upon Soft Landings, as was part of the 2011 Government Mandate The simplistic premise of Soft Landings seeks to encompass the requirements of end users upon outset, at the initial project stages – to start with the end in mind Government Soft Landings, ensuring Soft Landings is integral to the project procurement strategy at outset, & thus ensuring the ongoing support of appropriate project partners post-handover, will be explored Training for operational personnel will be highlighted, the potential for seasonal commissioning & best practice will be debated The Golden Thread has been resurrected by virtue of the Hackitt Report, the fundamentals of Soft Landings, to facilitate the best use of the asset post-handover, will be revisited Soft Landings was a BSRIA & CIBSE initiative, professional parties from both promote the rationale & this session will engage speakers from these organisations to deliver the advantages of a Soft Landings ethos, debating options & opportunities This session will also serve to facilitate discussion as to the current barriers to Soft Landings & will endeavour to further persuade as to the advantages of adoption
