Step inside the connected construction site

Technology has transformed many industries, delivering benefits such as improved productivity, higher quality and better margins.

The construction sector has been slow to realise the potential of this. While examples of change and innovation do exist, it has not yet reached the point of industry-wide transformation.

Delegates at Digital Construction Week are invited to join The B1M and Procore Technologies for a screening of the documentary “Step Inside the Connected Construction Site” taking place 4-5pm on Wednesday 16 October 2019 at the Transformation Hub.

The documentary explores the rise of digital connectivity and reveals how construction project teams around the world are beginning to leverage the potential, transforming the way that they deliver their schemes.

However, this vision of a fully connected construction site does not just focus on technology. The documentary describes how technology empowers people to work more effectively and collaboratively, using real-time digital information to drive new tools, processes and ways of working.

With site safety, project quality and scheme viability key concerns for the industry, alongside a growing skills shortage, technology will be essential to driving change and encouraging a new generation into the workforce.

Come along to this session and find out how technology is improving construction sites today and look ahead to a potential future.

Audience Q&A panel

The screening will be followed by a panel Q&A moderated by Brandon Oliveri-O’Connor from Procore Technologies. Brandon will be joined by Fred Mills from The B1M, Rob Frank from interior fit out contractor, BW: Workplace Experts, and Dave McCool from Procore Technologies who will be available to answer your questions. Learn what these connected sites really mean for construction, how they work in practice and the technologies being deployed to improve buildings and infrastructure.
