Construction Innovation Hub
Construction Innovation Hub
This session is aimed at giving you a greater understanding of the manufacturing floor and an insight into the technology tools that might transform construction using the manufacturers’ model. You’ll hear real examples from both sectors, exploring the differences and similarities between constructors and manufacturers. We’ll use our extensive experience to discuss where each leads, or follows, the other – and you will learn where manufacturing best-practice can be applied to the construction industry. We’ll discuss the management of people and how to ensure your people learn and practice technology skills from the lowest to the highest skilled worker; whether contractor, agency workers or employed. We’ll explore complexity in supply and in subcontracting, and how manufacturers ensure quality across their entire value chain from raw materials to finished goods and aftermarket service. You’ll hear about the tools and capabilities that manufacturers exploit every day to ensure repeatable quality, traceability and product tracking, and learn how to deliver up-to-date information to your workers wherever they are located.
