Why environmental risks are silently killing project margins
17 Oct 2019
Construction projects spend up to 5% of their contract value trying to manage environmental risk and mitigation. It is a dirty problem which remains largely hidden from the bottom line, traditionally only recognised by environmental specialists. It is estimated to cost the industry over £6bn in the UK alone, and with increasing regulation is it only getting worse. This talk takes a look at the impact of environmental management on construction profits; from noise and air quality, to materials and waste; and assesses what can be done to enable teams to meet regulation and improve productivity without drowning in data.
