Anecdotally BIM level 2 projects have seen real benefits for the constructors, design teams and clients, valued at a £840m saving to the government in 2015. Over the 2 years since the implementation of the Governments BIM mandate are we as a nation reaping the benefits of the process or are cracks starting to show. Could BIM be a flash in the pan like previous Government construction initiatives. The BIM official guidance, 'Industry experts', and software vendors have all inadvertently tied the government's good intentions in knots. There is a rising revolt against BIM where practitioners and constructors are disillusioned and confused, and clients are not requesting BIM for their projects as they deem it "too complicated" and 'expensive'. What must be done to demystify BIM and brink it back from the road to the scap heap?! The session will look at ways to de-jargon BIM, simplify it's ambition, and recommend how those of us in the industry operate to help everybody understand BIM's purpose and value. We cannot afford to loose BIM
