Digital Construction Week 2019 is now open! Doors opened at 9am this morning for the UK’s leading exhibition for innovation and technology in the built environment.
Visitors are flowing in to the central exhibition, which features over 180 exhibitors – from the big industry names to the newest start-ups – including HP, Lenovo, Skanska, Bluebeam, Bentley Systems, Kier, BAM, Wipro, Royal Haskoning RHDV, Leica, FARO, Procore.

We’ve already spotted loads of cool tech being displayed around the show floor and in the theatres – everything from a WALL-E style autonomous robot for construction sites, to a 6-axis industrial robotic arm for offsite construction.
The show’s impressive lineup also includes the exclusive two day thought leadership conference taking place at the Main Stage, plus 10 free-to-attend theatres.
The programme features sessions on AI, smart cities, BIM, digital twins, big data, virtual reality and augmented reality, modular construction, GIS, smart DfMA, digital transformation, drones, 5G, and much more. The speakers include Sam Stacey (UKR&I), Mark Farmer (Cast), Anne Kemp OBE (UK BIM Alliance & Atkins), Aurélie Clearaux (Bouygues Bâtiment International), Keith Waller (Construction Innovation Hub), and many others.
Competition is already heating up in the drone racing area, with visitors lining up to have their chance to navigate the show’s aerial obstacle course. Over at the Onsite Arena, so far we’ve seen demonstrations of augmented reality and 3D capture technologies, with a robot designed for onsite monitoring due to take to the stage next.
The show is open until 6pm today and from 9am-5pm tomorrow Thursday 17 October at London ExCeL, so there’s still plenty of time to head over and join us for an unrivaled showcase of cutting-edge digital construction tech.
