Digital Construction Week 2019 is just around the corner – in just over two weeks’ time, on 16-17 October, the digital construction industry will flock to London ExCeL to see what’s new and what’s next.
With more than 180 leading exhibitors lined up to present a host of new products, tech, software, services and solutions, it’s an essential visit to keep up to date with all the latest launches, trends, innovations and insights in the built environment.
Those wanting to discover the cutting-edge of the industry should head to the start-up zone, where they’ll have the chance to get hands on with the latest technology and equipment before anyone else.
“DCW’s start-up zone is now in its fifth year, and has established itself as a fantastic platform for visitors to meet the newest businesses and hear directly about the exciting product innovations they’re bringing to the market,” says event director Ollie Hughes.
Here’s a sneak preview of some of the exciting new products that will be on show in the zone this year:
Okibo is developing an autonomous wall plastering robot, that can work along-side workers in a job site. The robot applies pre-mixed compounds, gypsum-based materials and cement based without a human touch. The robot works up-to 10 times faster than a worker, and can accomplish the work of at least five workers, in the same amount of time. It offers unique features including construction site maneuverability, computer vision, 3D scanners and advanced sensors, floor to ceiling reachability, autonomous movement, and an industrial robotic arm (stand A50D)
Qualis Flow is previewing Qflow, a new tool designed to help construction teams achieve a stress free, environmentally compliant project by automating data capture and analysis. By capturing vital data on material and waste deliveries in real-time, and analysing this against construction activities, Qflow provides project managers with the information they need to make informed decisions (stand A50E).
Morta Technology is launching a new end-to-end information management platform for the construction industry. This BIM management software provides users with a single platform where requirements can be defined and deliverables can be checked for compliance (stand A50K).
Kreo Software is releasing the latest version of Kreo Design, which launched at Digital Construction Week 2018, and uses AI to create federated BIM models from scratch. Kreo Design v2.0 gives users a high-level cost estimate immediately for each model. Users can generate multiple design options for a proposed project, compare design variations on the cost to build, transfer to tender documents (stand A50B).
Brainpool is showcasing DAISY Design AI Systems, a fully automated dashboard that finds an optimal construction design with a click of a button. It has been developed by experts in Artificial Intelligence using the latest research in mathematics and machine learning to automate the manual construction design processes. The tool is designed to reduce time spent on construction design, minimise costs of materials, and reduce material wastage and pollution on construction sites (stand A50G).
Paperless Construction is promoting its IOS and Android mobile and web application built for construction teams to allow them to manage all their HSE training records centrally and paperlessly. The mobile application allows Construction Site Management to load Safe Systems of Work, Briefing Documents or Corporate Literature onto the platform, share it with the project teams out in the field for the recording of HSE briefings digitally and in real-time (stand A50A).
Also exhibiting in the zone are Contilio, Planticket, Bamberfield Wifi, and Struction Site.
