We say construction is becoming “data-driven”, but what if the people we most need to understand barely show up in the data at all?
In this interactive workshop, We Build Too, an initiative focused on women’s participation in construction, shares early insights from research with tradeswomen, learners and career changers. You’ll explore why women often feel invisible or unsafe in training and on site, and how those realities are rarely captured in the metrics leaders depend on.
Through short stories and practical exercises, you’ll map where women and other underrepresented groups are missing from your own people data, and how bias and assumptions can quietly shape decisions about digital tools, recruitment, training and culture change.
You’ll leave with a simple, repeatable framework to start improving the quality of your insights, combining qualitative feedback, segmented metrics and lived experience and three actions you can take in the next 3 – 6 months to build a more inclusive, evidence-informed approach. If you’re responsible for people, change or digital transformation, driving productivity and profits, and you want your decisions to truly reflect the workforce you’re building for, this session is for you.
