We talk about transforming the built environment, but who gets to shape that future, and who is still on the outside looking in?
In this Inspire Stage session, the founder of We Build Too shares an experience-driven perspective on digital transformation, culture change and inclusion in construction. You’ll hear about women who find their way into the industry, love the work, but often remain invisible in data, strategy and day-to-day decision-making. Often leading to them leaving, disengaging and disguising opportunities from the next generation.
Connecting construction’s challenges to wider debates about AI, bias and psychological safety, the session asks what happens when we design systems and tools around an unspoken “default” worker and what we could gain by changing that. It will introduce We Build Too’s early-stage work to create clearer pathways, community and evidence for women in construction, and invite delegates to see inclusion as a core part of innovation, not a side project.
You’ll leave with fresh questions, practical ideas and a renewed sense of what’s possible when we rethink who we build for, and with. As well as the impact that could have on efficiency, profitability and innovation.
