Visualising retrofit: Utilising spatial analysis for project identification and management

As the drive to retrofit the UK’s homes accelerates, the challenge isn’t just what to upgrade – but where to start. In this session, we lift the lid on how spatial analysis is transforming retrofit strategy, unlocking effective project identification, stronger funding bids, and better-targeted interventions.

We’ll showcase a modelling approach developed for the Warm Homes Local Grant fund through the RISE support service – designed to pinpoint eligible homes and highlight high-impact clusters. Using interactive online mapping, we enabled local authorities, housing providers, and community organisations to explore opportunities and shape viable, data-driven project proposals.
