Tony uses his 30 years’ experience in design and construction project management to help clients develop and implement BIM systems for large-scale infrastructure.
Since April 2019, he has been heavily involved in PCSG’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) project, Digitally Connected Supply Chains (DCSC), with our technology partners, MK9.
For this project, Tony has primarily been developing data requirements and processes to support the concept and potential functionality of a supply chain procurement platform that will digitally streamline and interconnect the supply chain.
He believes that digitally connected supply chains are the next step in the digitalisation of the construction industry, creating the transparency and traceability needed for everyone working on a project to stay focused, with a clear line of sight to how their work fits into a bigger picture.
PCSG has been involved with several leading-edge projects centred around developing outcome-based procurement practices:
Tony believes that this novel procurement method will enable much clearer communication between client and contractor, defining the real needs of the project instead of limiting either side with assumptions / guesswork, and allowing suppliers to best deploy their expertise to provide innovative services to their clients.
Tony will be co-presenting at the Digitally Connected Supply Chains and Outcome-Based Procurement panel with Kieron Basquille of MK9.
