Andrew Johnson joined the British Army in April 1995 into the Corps of Royal Engineers as a Plant Operator. He attended the Military Plant Foreman (MPF) course and finished with an HND in Civil Engineering. In 2010, he deployed to Afghanistan on Op HERRICK 12 to design and construct Route Trident phase two and many other infrastructure projects. He received the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service for his work on Op HERRICK 12. In 2016 he was promoted to Warrant Officer Class one and took the role of Sergeant Major Instructor for the Military Plant Foreman course and trade. After leaving the military in April 2019 he now is employed by Operam as an advisor delivering advisory services to worldwide organisations across the built environment supporting their digital transformation. He has a first-class BEng (Hons) in Engineering Management and a MSc distinction in Engineering Management.
