Colin attained an honours degree in environmental engineering from University of Strathclyde and began working for IES as a graduate Engineer. Since then, Colin has acquired over 23 years of experience in the development and application of energy, environmental and safety modelling software tools, and has become Associate Director of Consultancy for IES.

Working from IES’ UK headquarters, interspersed with assignments in California and India, Colin has provided modelling services on numerous building projects throughout the world and liaised with some of the leading architectural and engineering practices. To date he has provided energy modelling consultancy services for over 1000 projects.

Colin has provided advanced modelling services to support the energy performance analysis of data centres across North America, Europe and Australia. This includes developing flexible modelling solutions to meet the changing technology needs of the fast moving data centre market.
