Benoît Descamps is the CEO and co-founder of Kabandy, an innovative software company dedicated to democratising BIM data through AI-powered solutions. An architectural engineer by trade, he holds a PhD in structural optimisation, providing him with a deep technical foundation in construction efficiency. Before launching Kabandy eight years ago, Benoît honed his expertise through practical experience as both an architect and a structural engineer, as well as BIM Manager for the European Parliament and other large public organisations. This professional background inspired him to develop an AI-driven BIM Quantity Takeoff tool specifically tailored for use by non-BIM experts. Under his leadership, the platform has seen widespread adoption across Europe and Japan, transforming how teams manage complex project data. Most recently, Benoît has overseen the company’s successful expansion into the UK and Ireland, supporting the region’s shift towards digital construction workflows.
