Yasushi Ikeda is an practicing Architect and Researcher. After he completed the master in the Graduate School of Engineering at The University of Tokyo he joined Maki and Associates from 1987 to 1995. Then he left to establish the Yasushi Ikeda Design Studio (renamed IKDS in 2003). After teaching at Keio University as professor of Graduate School of Media and Governance, He moved to the university of Tokyo to launch Laboratory of Architectural Informatics in 2022. He is known internationally by research activities in the field of computational methodology applying to sustainable building, establishing Architectural Informatics Sosiety in Japan considering the potential for the evolution of the architecture as an information medium. His recent design projects include Hot spring resort Hotel Dalian China (2013), Keio co-evolution House (2014), MRT Airport line Taipei Main Station (2016), Japan Forestry Journal Headquarter Building (2020)
