Maira is the Head of Computational Engineering at Red Engineering Design Ltd., where she leads a diverse international team of engineers. She is an alumna of Imperial College London, and a Chartered Engineer, with expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics and data centre engineering. She’s been defining a culture of inclusion and quality in her day-to-day work, something that those close to her know puts a big smile on her face.

Maira is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and volunteers as Chair of their Technical Strategy Board. She is a co-founder and Trustee of SheCanEngineer, a volunteer-led Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) charity based in the UK, working to close the gender gap in engineering industries and academia. Maira was recognised in the King’s 2025 New Year Honours, receiving the British Empire Medal for services to diversity in engineering.
