Senior Audio-visual Engineer, HOARE LEA

Paulie Roche comes from a specialised background in architectural acoustic, audiovisual and electroacoustic design. With a focus in arts and culture, he provides integrated design practices with logical and creative styles to deliver a project that will have an end user’s experience in mind. He started life as a live sound engineer and went on to specialise in ambisonics at Salford University. Paulie was a key part of the team responsible for the acoustic, electroacoustic and soundsystem design for several venues including the London Olympic Stadium and Velodrome, Al Rayyan Stadium (World Cup 2022) and Wimbledon No.1 Court. Paulie’s creative approach in his role at Hoare Lea sees him lead the soundscape and experience design of immersive public art works (including the Hive at Kew Gardens), with projects in development across the UK, Middle East, Asia and United States.
