Richard is a cartography graduate with a 25+ year career focusing on answering pressing environmental and climate challenges. He is a strong advocate for collaboration, with a passion for connecting geospatial technology across as much of society as possible. He founded Map Impact, delivering Earth Observation derived data products that support objective reporting of biodiversity and climate risk, and is a volunteer Director of the Association for Geographic Information, having led the recent delivery of the AGI’s Foresight Report.
