Ricky Cartwright is Head of Technology at Prodtex, where he helps organisations embed digital simulation and human-centred design into complex engineering and construction programmes.

With over 20 years’ experience in aerospace, working on major programmes including the Boeing 787, A380, A350 and Wing of Tomorrow, Ricky developed a deep understanding of why products must be designed for manufacturing, installation and maintenance from the outset. In high-risk, high-precision industries, validating processes virtually before physical build is not optional, it is essential.

Today, Ricky applies those proven principles to the construction and offsite sectors. At Prodtex, he leads projects that bring digital rehearsal, ergonomic simulation and virtual commissioning into the AEC environment, helping teams de-risk lifting operations, validate installation sequences, improve buildability and protect workforce wellbeing before work begins on site.

His focus is simple: use digital tools not as visualisation software, but as decision-making platforms that improve safety, reduce rework and ensure projects are designed around the people who build them.
