In September 2025, the construction industry reached a turning point at the summit of London’s iconic Gherkin. Hosted by Fred Mills (The B1M) and Sasha Reed (Procore), the Construction Mental Health Summit brought together change-makers from three continents to confront a sobering reality: suicide rates in construction remain nearly four times the national average.
In this session, Fred and Sasha return to the stage to recap the powerful outcomes of the Get Construction Talking initiative. They will share first-hand accounts from the Summit’s “Labour voices” and “Policy” panels, detailing how the campaign has already raised over $900,000 for global charities. Moving beyond “tick-box exercises,” this talk explores the systemic shifts needed – from payment practices to substance abuse support – to protect the industry’s most valuable asset: its people. Attendees will get an exclusive look at the next phase of the global campaign and how digital integration can help scale these life-saving conversations across the jobsite.
