Alex is a digital construction leader who provides practical applications for information modelling, information management, and digital transformation within the construction industry. Championing an inclusive approach to digital implementation, Alex delivers digital solutions which recognise all project team members.

As Head of Digital Construction for Skanska UK’s Building operating unit, Alex and his team are overseeing the implementation of Skanska’s ‘minimum digital standards’ – a set of requirements and processes followed on all building projects. This standard approach is already raising the game at Skanska and is expanding to new areas, further differentiating Skanska from competitors.
As a passionate advocate for interoperability and openBIM, Alex leads the ‘Building Domain’ within buildingSMART UK & Ireland and in 2024 he helped launch the ‘IoT Interoperability’ project aimed at improving the connections between asset and performance data within Digital Twins. In 2023 Alex was elected as a committee member to the international ‘Building Domain’.
